I’m not posting this to brag. In fact, it’s a little painful. We missed our goal of $1 million by such a tiny amount! We can honestly call ourselves 7 figure sellers because our refunds and reimbursements for the year complete the number, and of course we had already sold almost half a million the year before. But I’ll be honest: it hurts my Vulcan half that I can’t say it without qualification.
So with all that said, and with no further ado, here are our gross sales numbers from 2016. I share this for accountability and transparency. If we offer advice, we don’t want to offer it without context. Maybe you thought we sold more and you lean too heavily on us. Maybe you thought we sold less and now you’ll sit up and listen a little more closely. Either way is fine with me. Maybe you’ve never even heard of us. That’s fine too. If you have known us for years and had no idea we sold on Amazon, I’m laughing. That’s pretty funny, because Amazon has consumed us since October 2014.
And of course we all know this is only one piece of a very complex puzzle. What is our ROI? What is our margin? How much and how often do we pay ourselves? How much did we outsource? How stable and healthy is our business? Could you do this? Would you even want to do this, or do you have a better idea?
